My Entrecard Inbox After Removing the Widget!

Here's a screenshot of my Entrecard inbox showing the drops I received after removing the widget 5 days ago. It shouldn't be possible to appear in my inbox. How exactly did you drop on me?

This blog has never been very active in Entrecard. I wonder how many ghost drops an active blog receives?

Are any ghost droppers appearing in your inbox?

  1. Exactly the same happened to me when I left Entrecard. When I reported it, I was told it was impossible and they more or less implied I was making trouble.

  2. I wonder if it's them inflating your clicks versus people cheating the system.

  3. Hmmm how interesting. I hope no one actually relies on EC to bring them a big chunk of their traffic. Even the traffic you get from them, except maybe 5% are nothing but click and run. I can't say I didn't receive benefits from their program, I met many great blogger friends I would not have.

My wife for some strange reason enjoys clicking on the widgets, so that is the only reason i have been active in EC. If and when she decides she is tired of doing it, then it will go the same path that Adgitized and all the other traffic exchange programs went, bye, bye.

  4. Yeah, I just came back from a blog regarding this matter and he experimented for 2 days of removing his EC widget to see which blogs have been "ghost dropping".

i was surprised to see many of those made "Top Dropper" lists on some of my friends blogs and not only get backlinks for being TD but also getting EC credit rewards.

Anyways, for those active in EC, and want to know among those who are ghost dropping, check out Martin's blog post.. http://cornys-moneypage.blogspot.com/2010/02/entrecard-members-get-scammed-by-these.html
